iFlipTips is the new note-taking app from TECHtionary that helps you create notes containing text, images, audio and video for studying, presentations and many other uses, including as a recipe book. The different mediums included in iFlipTips enable you to create comprehensive recipe instructions that are all available with just a few taps. Whether you are a professional chef, or simply enjoy cooking for pleasure, iFlipTips provides you with the ability to create, store, categorize and share your recipes with others.
Using the iTips-Ideas section of the app, you can create a library of recipes. Open a new iTips-Ideas card to start, then enter the ingredients into the text box. The video section lets you record live-action instructions about how to make the dish, so you can record yourself the first time, then watch it back as many times as you need to when making the same dish in the future. The app’s video capability can make it easier to use recipes, since, instead of having to go back and read the next instruction in a book or on a screen, you can follow the video in real time. Using the picture section, you can take photos of the finished product so you know what it should look like in the future, and you can also show other people your creations.
The iFlipTips app enables you to organize iTips-Ideas cards into different categories, including types of meal, course and categories that cater to different dietary requirements. By tapping “View” then “Edit” at the top right-hand corner of the screen, you can add and delete categories and sub-categories as applicable, which enables you to tailor the way your organize your recipes. The ability to organize your iTips-Ideas cards into different folders and sub-folders, and search for folder names, makes your recipes easily retrievable so you can find and access them in a hurry.
Once you’ve created your recipe ingredients and instructions using an iTips-Ideas card, you can share your recipes with friends. The text, video and audio can be shared via email, Facebook, or Twitter, so you can send the ingredients, a video of the method, as well pictures of what the finished product should look like to friends and family. This functionality is especially useful if you are professional chef and need a quick and easy way of sharing your culinary creations with a Facebook fan page or your professional Twitter feed. Simply connect your Facebook and Twitter accounts to the iFlipTips app by following the on-screen instructions and you can share your cooking recipes, tips and tricks with your entire online fan base in one go.
